NCAA Governing Agency

The NCAA is a nonprofit association committed to providing an opportunity for more than 460,000 college student-athletes who compete annually in college sports. A commitment to academics and student-athlete success in the classroom is a vital part of the NCAA’s mission to integrate athletics into higher education.

NCAA Eligibility Center

The NCAA Eligibility Center certifies whether prospective college athletes are eligible to play sports at NCAA Division I or II institutions. It does this by reviewing the student athlete’s academic record, SAT or ACT scores, and amateur status to ensure conformity with NCAA rules.

NAIA Governing Agency

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) is a governing body of small athletics programs that are dedicated to character-driven intercollegiate athletics. Each year more than 65,000 NAIA student-athletes have the opportunity to play college sports and compete for a chance to participate in 26 national championships.

NAIA Clearing House

The NAIA requires all student-athletes who have never played a championship sport in the NAIA to have their eligibility determined before they can play by the NAIA Clearing House.

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), founded in 1938, is an association of community college and junior college athletic departments throughout the United States. It is divided into divisions and regions. The current NJCAA holds 24 separate regions across 24 states.

FAFSA Federal Student Aid

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a form that can be prepared annually by current and prospective college students in the United States to determine their eligibility for student financial aid. FAFSA is the key to obtaining federal financial aid like grants, work-study, student loans, and some scholarships used to pay for college.

Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)

The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) is a regional tuition-discount agreement administered by the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). WUE enables students from one of 16 WICHE states and territories in the Western U.S. to enroll as nonresidents in 160+ participating public colleges and universities and pay 150 percent (or less) of the enrolling school’s resident tuition.

Millennium Scholarship

The Nevada Millennium Scholarship, also known as the Governor Guinn Millennium Scholarship, offers Nevada high school graduates free or reduced tuition to in-state universities and colleges like the University of Nevada, Reno and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
