Downtown Las Vegas Soccer Club College Pathway Program
Designed for our U-15 to U-19 Boys and Girls Programs, the Downtown Las Vegas Soccer Club College Pathway Program will help our Student-Athletes and their families understand the College Soccer search and recruiting process.
The DLVSC Technical Staff, Coaches, and Administrators experiences range from all collegiate levels to the professional game. The partnerships and relationships with some of the most respected and qualified organizations in their respective fields will bring a variety of resources and tools to our families as they go through the college search experience.
The program will be a blend of informational presentations, hands-on workshops, and events that will provide information on many different topics to help prepare student-athletes for an education and playing career at the collegiate level. We will provide players and families with a framework that will help each athlete start to define what kind of educational program and athletic experience they are seeking.
Topics that will be covered will include:
- The Importance of Good Grades
- The Role of the Student and Parent
- Players and Parents to do Lists & Recruiting Timelines
- How to Identify a School
- How to Communicate with a College Coach
- Sample Emails/Letters
- Financial Aid
- College Testing and Admissions
- The Role of the DLVSC Coach in the College Search Process
The DLVSC Technical Staff will work directly with team coaches to ensure that player exposure is appropriate for the level of our player’s college ambitions as well as with players, managers and parents to offer support and guidance on the best ways to maximize college exposure.
